Beverly Byer is KRXA's morning drive-time news anchor. She brings intelligence and experience to KRXA's team. From May 1999 until March of this year, Ms. Byer anchored the five o'clock news at KION Channel 46 in Salinas. Ms. Byer is a television and radio veteran with over thirty years of on-air experience. She began broadcasting as an anchor and reporter on KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon in the early 70s. Highlights of her distinguished career include numerous awards for television and radio work and eight years at NBC News in the 1980s as a Middle East and United Nations correspondent.
