  1. Jan Rodak says:

Shade, I’m not sure which year you’re citing, but for 2011 Komen devoted 15% of its revenues toward research. See this Reuters piece for verification:

Note that I did not imply the org spends only that amount on overall cancer services. But they *do* call themselves “Susan G. Kom For The Cure,” and it’s impossible to achieve a cure without research. Adding to that, they refuse to fund research using embryonic stem cells, which many in the scientific community think is appalling. Thanks, Jan

  2. Rusty says:

Hal -I like the fellow you had on from 9 to 9:30. Very thought provoking.

  3. Rusty says:

Hal – To any and all Liberal-Progressive talkers on KRXA and elsewhere: It may feel good, but if they keep calling for continued chaos and uncertainty in the Republican primary field, they are just enabling the Rove plan to parachute an un-sullied, un-vetted, last minute relief candidate into the arms of the pissed off GOP faithful. It will be August, and Obama will have to pivot very hard to deal with that blind-side. And if I am wrong – thanks the Gods.
    Thanks for starting KRXA.
