AM 540 am June 25 – 29

This is my last week before I take a break – although I’ll still be checking in from time to time of course.  Hewing closely to the course that I have set, with no deviations permitted of course:-), Coach’ll steer the ship during the first two weeks of July.

Call (831) 899-5792 to participate  We should be transitioning though to just the 1 (888) number shortly.  Because of the show’s earlier hours, I am trying to oblige listeners who have requested more AM 540 am audio postings at the website  Note also that the estimable Shade is also linking to shows in the archives section at krxa540.com.

As always, we ask that you please forward this newsletter to any friend, relative, acquaintance, casual contact, frenemy, enemy, or nemesis, whom you think would enjoy learning about KRXA.

Don’t forget to become a facebook KRXA Five Forty Friend at www.facebook.com/groups/152169051511789/ or simply type fivefortyfriend into your Facebook search bar.

  1. Arlen says:

Coach for two weeks solo? OMG, Hal, have you thought this through?

  2. Arlen says:

Announcing the First Annual KRXA Summer Kickoff Cookout, this Wednesday, June 27, 4-7pm at Laguna Grande Park, on the Monterey (west) side of the lake, (NOT the side across the street from Seaside City Hall). Bring your own food and drink. Couch will be doing some grilling (meat, not people). Also, bring a potluck side dish (Salad, dessert, chips, whatever) to share.

  3. The Lesser Rusty says:

Hal – I invariably enjoy the IWC report by Todd, except today.
TG opined that the market was down because the AHA was ruled mostly “A-Okay” with the corporate crazies of SCOTUS and the market was worried about the effect it would have on “small business.” HA!
It really gob smacked me – this notion that Wall Street gives a rat’s ass about small business. That’s a phrase they use to encourage people think of the plumber in her truck or the dude running a machine shop. In reality-ville, the “SMALL BUSINESS” Wall Street cares about is the lady operating a $3 billion hedge fund with three secretaries, or the Koch Brothers and their 60,000 employees arranged into a bunch of units that appear to be small businesses for tax purposes.
Like most people, myself included, Todd appeared to have a poor grasp of the intricate mechanics of the AHA. Listening the Nicole Sandler on the RR show flesh out the plan and made sense of the issue.

Sorry to have missed the BBQ.

This has been the Lesser Rusty
