The Morning Show November 21 – 25

At KRXA, we will continue to provide the most complete coverage of the Occupy Together movement with live reports from around the country and a focus on Occupy Monterey Bay and Occupy Santa Cruz.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to thank KRXA’s many extraordinary sponsors – some of whom have supported us for over six years now.  I also want to welcome two new advertisers and one returning one to the KRXA fold.

Last week, we began running spots for Mon Chay a great new vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant in Carmel’s Barnyard.  This week, SC 41 in Santa Cruz, returns to inform us of its great selection of home furnishings. Go to SC 41, at 2647 41st Avenue in Soquel, for “sustainable style for the rest of your life.  For sports lovers, Hans Romer’s Monterey Bay Racquet Club begins a two-week campaign to promote its free grand opening on December 3 on the Hyatt Monterey’s campus.

I plan to be on live all week broadcasting from Maryland.  Tune in and you’ll also hear lots of Coach and great guests.  Call (888) 579-2540 to weigh in.

As always, we ask that you please forward this newsletter to any friend, relative, acquaintance, casual contact, frenemy, enemy, or nemesis, whom you think would enjoy learning about KRXA.

r.e. “Wal-Mart spokeswoman Kelly Cheeseman explains her employer’s great public service programs.”

It’s fair to make your points Hal but I suspect this spokesperson has no idea what she is in for (i.e. I don’t think you are capable of doing this interview & remaining civil). Perhaps you should turn the interview over to Coach. I’m saying this in part hoping that you will at least make an extra effort to prove me wrong.

What I don’t understand about Walmart is why they don’t do more to improve the lot of their own & third-world workers now that they dominate the retail world. This poor spokesperson (just paid labor herself) is not in a position to answer such questions (but may blow some smoke). You & most people can’t get to the greedy corporate officers that feel they must drop every dime possible from labor to their bottom line. Walmart should enter a new era & turn what has been an ongoing PR black-eye into a positive PR campaign, something that corporate officers should be able to understand spending money on.
